Modern drivers are built around two main ideas. High-MOI (Moment of Inertia) heads resist twisting on off-centre hits, so mis-hits still fly reasonably straight — look for "Max" or "K" in a model name for the most forgiving option. Adjustable hosels let you change the loft and lie angle by a couple of degrees using a small wrench, so you can fine-tune launch and spin without buying a new head. Carbon composite crowns (the top of the clubhead) also save weight versus titanium, letting manufacturers move that weight lower and further back for a more forgiving, higher-launching shot.
