Edven Ying claimed his second professional title at the PGM Royal Pahang Championship on Thursday, winning a three-player sudden-death playoff at Kelab Golf DiRaja Pahang.

Ying carded a final round of 65 to be tied at 14-under-par 202 alongside Ben Leong and amateur Nateeshvar Ganesh. The two professionals birdied the first extra hole, with Nateeshvar exiting after a par. Ying and Leong traded birdies on the next two playoff holes before Ying rolled in a clutch birdie putt on the fourth, with Leong unable to match. The win marked Ying’s second title since the PGM Templer Park Championship in June 2023.

Marcus Lim, the second-round leader, settled for a share of fourth at 12-under-par 204 with Jeremiah Kim. Rounding up the top five was first-round leader Malcolm Ting with a three-day aggregate of ten-under-par 206.

“I’m happy to get this win after so long. The playoff was nerve-wracking but I stayed in the moment,” said Ying, who has been working on consistency in his game this season.

In the Ladies Championship, Mirabel Ting secured a wire-to-wire victory to claim her maiden win as a professional. The 2025 Annika Award winner finished with a three-day total of 14-under-par 202, nine strokes ahead of runner-up Aretha Pan. While Siti Zulaikah rounded out the top three at even-par 216.
